OMG Amazing...

Bikes I would love to ride around the streets of Melbourne... When I have the time and the weather is sunny again.

Crush after the crash

One thing that break-ups have taught me is that in order to get over the crash you need a little crush! So here is mine... Edward Cullen.

When I first heard about Twilight I dismissed it as juvenile and had scoffed "a girl in love with a vampire" on more than one occasion. Oh how my opinion was about to change... One lazy Sunday afternoon I decided to see what all the fuss was about. The moment I saw the beautiful mysterious Edward walk into the school cafeteria I was bitten.
A few days passed and I couldn't fight my insatiable hunger. I watched the movie again but still this wasn't enough. Then I decided to read the books, which I devoured in a little over a week. After dropping the T-word one too many times a friend finally asked “what’s the appeal?” my answer in one word was: delicious! The sexual tension and the dangerous allure of the brooding and tortured Edward was just too enticing. From the look on her face I could tell she understood, but was not prepared to immerse herself in this world for fear of being overcome as I, and others before me had.
When I finished the books I felt a little lost and also very greedy – had I really consumed all four books in such a short time? Now all I am left with is an unhealthy obsession with a fictional character. But I think Edward was just what I needed. Underneath the danger he is just an old fashioned boy looking for someone to love. Ahhh, so maybe romance isn’t dead after all and there is an old fashioned boy out there for me too…

I suppose there are worse things I could be doing right now.
